Iraqiya Coalition leader Ayad Allawi once again called for the replacement of Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, Al-Jazeera reported.
In an interview with UAE’s al-Khalij daily, Allawi rejected the recommendations raised to dissolve the parliament, saying the political trend has failed. However, quitting this trend has now become difficult, he added.
The national plan that his coalition pursues is the strongest and best plan for all Iraqis, the Iraqiya leader continued. Allawi went on to accuse Maliki of provoking disputes with his political opponents. He also condemned Maliki’s rejection of the recent Iraqi Parliament bill on limiting the term of the prime minister even before the court ever finalized the matter.
