Iran-linked 9th Badr Corps militants known as Daesh clash with armed tribes in Iraq
Armed Iraqi tribes in their clashes in the past few days have apprehended a number of armed militants fighting under the flag of ‘Daesh’ (Iraqi al-Qaeda). In the preliminary investigations into these individuals conducted by the tribes, it has become clear they are actually members of the 9th Badr militants linked to the Iranian regime. A local Iraqi TV station said in a report, “The al-Malaheme tribe in al-Khalediya rose against a number of ‘Daesh’ militants and apprehended many of them. It later became clear they are members of the 9th Badr militants.”
The 9th Badr militants are a Shiite fundamentalist group established by the mullahs’ regime during in previous regime in Iraq before 2003. Following Saddam’s overthrow they have continued their work in Iraq under the supervision of the Iranian regime.
