We are seriously proceeding with Maliki’s impeachment: Iraqiya spokeswoman

Iraqiya Coalition spokeswoman Maysoun al-Damalouji said we are seriously proceeding with Nouri Maliki’s impeachment and thus a no-confidence vote against him as the head of the Iraqi government. These measures will be carried out based on constitutional mechanisms and in a legal method, she added.
“The Kurdish coalition and the Sadr movement continue to be our partners in this cause,” al-Damalouji continued. “The Kurds are preparing the impeachment dossiers and the Sadr movement will not back down from a no-confidence vote.”
“Muqtada al-Sadr has emphasized the 40 votes of the Sadre movement will be added to the total parliamentary votes that are calling for no-confidence of Maliki, in order to reach the legal number needed for impeachment.”
