The French Committee for a Democratic Iran, consisting of MPs, former ministers, judicial officials and human rights activists issued a statement congratulating the PMOI on the US decision to delist this organization from its black list.
“The French Committee for a Democratic Iran congratulates the members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran in Camp Liberty and those remaining in Ashraf for their perseverance. This committee also expresses its congratulations to all members of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, especially its President-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, for her political courage and leading this patient and tireless campaign to defend the legitimate rights of this resistance.
“The time has now come for the NCRI to be recognized as the democratic alternative to the religious dictatorship ruling Iran. It is essential for the French government to make necessary conclusions from this important development and initiate constructive dialogue with the NCRI. Dialogue based on the values of the republic and France’s interest that must place itself alongside the Iranian people’s demands.”
The German Solidarity Committee for Iran Freedom, chaired by Dr. Otto Bernhardt, Member of the Chairing Council of Konrad Adenauer Foundation issued a statement and announced: “Following years of legal activities in Europe and the US, taking overt positions aimed at establishing democracy in Iran, and endless efforts to raise public opinion on Iran’s true intention of obtaining nuclear weapons, finally this idea was able to open its path forward that the People’s Mojahedin of Iran is the alternative and legitimate force for the struggle against a regime that endangers world peace.
“From this day forward, the Tehran regime will have no calm in continuing its crimes inside and outside the country without any obstacles, because after the successful PMOI delisting from the US black list, this resistance with new force and support in the US and Europe will advance to achieve regime change from dictatorship to freedom and democracy in Iran.”
