Baghdad Post, January 12, 2018 - Instagram has shut down the page of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force's commander Qasem Soleimani for the third time, Breitbart News reported.
“This is the third time that Instagram has forced down General Soleimani’s account,” local media reported.
The Iranian government blocked access to Instagram and Telegram for tens of millions of Iranians soon after the December 28 protests calling for the downing of Iran’s Mullah regime began, in order to stifle the uprising.
The US Department of State announced shortly thereafter that US President Donald Trump administration will use Facebook and Twitter to communicate directly with Iranians who are protesting against in Iran’s government.
Soleimani has been designated as a terrorist by the US on several occasions. In October, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was designated a terrorist entity by the US Department of Treasury
