Nouri Maliki’s security forces staged a widespread raid in the city of Abu Quraib west of Baghdad and arrested dozens.
Based on a report aired by Asharqiya TV, this operation took place with the participation of over one thousand security forces supported by helicopters. Security sources said joint forces of the police and the army, backed byhelicopters launched an extensive military operation in agricultural and village areas in the city of Abu Quraib.
This wide-ranging raid by Maliki’s forces took place with the aim of intimidating and setting the scores with his opponents who seek his impeachment and a no-confidence vote against him.
