IRGC commander, Iraj Masjedi, former chief advisor for Qasem Suleimani, commander of the Quds force, and recently appointed as Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, called Mosul, Lebanon, Aleppo and Syria, the front line of the Mullahs’ regime in Iran.
“The front line of our soldiers used to be Abadan, Khorramshahr, Mehran and Haj Omran, [all cities in western Iran], but is now Mosul, Lebanon, Aleppo and Syria,” Said Masjedi in his speech in a ceremony marking the first anniversary of the death of an Iranian mercenary in Syria.
He had also reiterated in June 2016, that the Iranian meddling in Syria and Iraq, was the same as defending Iranian borders.
